This is awesome, thank you Perzen. The Indian students at our local college usually host a Diwali celebration that they open up to the community. It is a wonderful celebration that I feel lucky to participate in. I appreciate these suggestions of how we could honor it in our own homes.

I love and can relate to this so much as someone who's also not Hindu, but has had the pleasure and honor of celebrating Diwali with friends over the years. And per usual, I made the mistake of reading this before eating and now I'm craving lamb Biriyani!

I'm inspired by this list, I want to implement a few tiny things in November in honor of Diwali this year!
